Sahelys Saveurs Inc. was founded in Moncton, New Brunswick, out of a wish to let traditions and flavours travel while leaving room for creativity. Inspired by African culinary riches and shaped in Canada, Sahelys Saveurs creates artisanal desserts that bring together authenticity, indulgence and a modern touch. Through our two ranges, Milya and Doucya, we revisit indulgent traditions inspired by our African roots and offer them in a variety of flavours. Our goal is to create desserts that are accessible, indulgent and made for sharing — desserts that can appeal across cultures and evolve with our customers’ tastes.
Milya is an artisanal dessert made with millet and fermented milk (yogurt), inspired by an African tradition and revisited in a range of flavours. Creamy, generous and carefully prepared, Milya offers an indulgent experience that showcases artisanal know-how and the richness of Sahelys’ inspirations.
Doucya is an artisanal dessert made with couscous and fermented milk (yogurt), inspired by African traditions and revisited with a modern, indulgent touch. With Doucya we also want to share another way of enjoying couscous, in a creation that is gentle, original and accessible.

We want our products to keep evolving, to explore new flavours and to keep creating desserts that speak to customers from many backgrounds. Our creativity constantly pushes us to imagine new ways of sharing our desserts, with new flavours and new options suited to different tastes and lifestyles. We are also working on new options, including a plant-based range, so that even more people can enjoy the Sahelys experience.
