Sahelys Saveurs Inc. takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy explains what the Milya online store collects, why it collects it and what it does with it, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable New Brunswick legislation.
When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number, the pickup or delivery window you choose, the contents of your order and, for delivery, your address and any delivery instructions. When you write to us: your name, email, phone number and the content of your message. We collect nothing else — no date of birth, no health information, no browsing profile.
Card payments are handled directly by Stripe on its own secure pages. Your card number is never sent to our servers and is never stored by us. We keep only the amount, the date and a transaction reference, which we need for our books and for any refund.
Only to prepare and hand over your order, keep you informed of its progress, issue your receipt or invoice, answer your questions and meet our accounting and tax obligations. We do not send promotional emails unless you ask us to.
By placing an order or writing to us, you consent to your information being collected and used for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time; we will then keep only the records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices.
We do not sell, trade or rent your information. It is shared only with the providers strictly required to run the store, all bound by confidentiality: Stripe (payments), Brevo (order emails), Vercel and OVH (website and data hosting), Google Cloud Storage (product images). The Contact page displays a map provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when you view it.
The database and order documents are hosted in Canada or Europe depending on the provider. Some of our providers may process data outside Canada, where it remains subject to local law.
Orders, receipts and invoices are kept for as long as Canadian accounting and tax rules require — six years after the end of the financial year concerned. Messages sent through the contact form are kept for at most two years. After that, information is deleted or anonymised.
Traffic to and from the site is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the store's administration is restricted to authorised staff, protected by a password and limited in the number of attempts. No system is infallible, so please tell us straight away if anything looks wrong with your order.
You may ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to withdraw your consent, by writing to commandes@sahelyssaveurs.com. We reply within thirty days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
The site uses no advertising trackers and no analytics tools. Your cart is kept in your browser's local storage and is never sent to us until you place your order. A secure cookie is set only on administration pages, to keep the Sahelys Saveurs team signed in.
The store is not aimed at people under thirteen and does not knowingly collect their information.
This policy may change; the date it was last updated appears at the top of the page. Any significant change will be noted on this page.
